From 2020-2025, I was the Lead Podcast Producer for On Our Minds from PBS News Student Reporting Labs, a podcast about teen mental health and wellness.
I originated and led all aspects of On Our Minds: selected and trained teen hosts, mentored student audio producers, booked guests (including esteemed guests such as poet laureates, filmmaker Ken Burns and U.S. Surgeon General), wrote and edited scripts, developed video podcast plan, worked closely with communications and digital producers to market and promote podcast.
This work was grounded in trauma-informed practices: building interview environments centered on trust, consent, and emotional safety. In each episode, two teen reporters guide you through stories by high schoolers about the teenage experience. On Our Minds received an Edward R. Murrow for its first season.
