I am a Virginia-based photographer and filmmaker.

I create visual stories for publications, organizations, and individuals.

What drives my work is the desire to create meaningful stories that educate, inspire, and connect us to one another.

I spent the summer of 2012 working at the Maine Media Workshops as a teaching assistant with their teen photo program. I took a number of classes on field trips to Old Orchard Beach to photograph the historic seaside carnival and beach activities. For over a year I forgot about this footage. Then one late-winter day, I found myself instantly and overwhelmingly yearning for summer and its accompanying sense of freedom and lightness.

This is a personal project, part of a series called “Videodes” (video + ode = a visual expression of an exalted emotion).
